Testimonials

“All our photographer friends will understand how I felt the day I received my first Canon FT.
Photography is a passion, an impulse, an enjoyment… and for some, an art!
Thanks to the organizers of the Grand Prix Photo de Saint-Tropez, I now have the pleasure and honor of writing this short note.
They have chosen Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque as their “associate” and friend!
Art and culture intimately linked to humanitarianism is a beautiful symbol.
Thanks to all those who have thought up and realized this symbiosis.
The high point of this long, voluntary but high-quality and enthusiastic work is the auction!
I think your pleasure will be twofold: owning a beautiful work of art and saving a child.
What could be better?

Professor Francine Leca, founder of the “Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque” association

“Combining art and solidarity: this has been the credo of the Grand Prix Photo association for the past 10 years.
In addition to showcasing the work of renowned photographers such as this year’s great Lucien Clergue, the association also plays a very important and highly commendable role in supporting the “Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque” charity, which helps children with heart defects from underprivileged countries where surgery is not an option.
As we celebrate the 10th edition of this wonderful event this year, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and thanks to all the association’s key players, and to express my gratitude for the fantastic work they do.
Long live the Grand Prix Photo de Saint-Tropez!”

Sylvie Siri, Mayor of Saint-Tropez – Regional Councillor

“Canon is a leader in the image chain, from its capture by photographers to its rendition for the most beautiful prints…
But beyond its role as a manufacturer, Canon pays particular attention to the company’s social and environmental dimension.
Very sensitive to the cause of children, our company already supports several associations whose role is to facilitate hospital stays for sick children.
It is in this context that for several years we have supported the works of the Grand Prix Photo de Saint-Tropez through a partnership based on photographic talent and the sharing of images with as many people as possible.
We are proud to support Professor Francine Leca and her association “Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque”, enabling children with heart defects to undergo surgery in France.

Roch Lorente, Channel Manager

“In today’s world, the values defended by your Association are necessary and appreciated.
Thinking of the many people you have already supported, and of all those who still need to be supported, I am not only deeply moved by your commitment and perseverance, but also convinced that I should support your cause.
You are concerned by the serious problems of
our society, and because I appreciate the integrity and efficiency with which you use your resources
to ensure a better future for children, I am writing to you today to express my support for your cause
in the form of a sponsorship for the present edition of the Grand Prix Photo de Saint-Tropez in favor of
“Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque”.
Thank you for your commitment and perseverance. Keep up the excellent work.”

“Lucien Clergue (1934-2014), the photographer of the South has always celebrated women through his photographs of nudes in the sea, like Aphrodite rising from the waves. He supported numerous cancer charities by offering original photographs, printed by himself in his studio in Arles. Sadly, he left us in 2014, also swept away by this terrible disease. Today, the Atelier Lucien Clergue manages his archives, and continues to pass on this extraordinary legacy through exhibitions in France and abroad.Le Printemps 2024 welcomes Lucien Clergue to Saint Tropez and to Kyoto for the Kyotographie festival. We are proud to be able to support the children in the Grand Prix Photo de Saint-Tropez 2024 in aid of “Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque”, and thus continue to bring Lucien Clergue’s work to life.”
